The DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC MEMORY unveiled its first commemorative sign on Thursday, June 28th!
Thank you to everyone who came out to the closing event celebrating the life of the Lewis Pearsall Computer Resource Centre (LPCRC) and to acknowledge all those tireless volunteers, community members and staff who, over the last 15 years, have turned the LPCRC into a valuable community resource.
There were speeches, memories shared, and the unveiling of an official street sign.
This sign will permanently mark the Ralph Thornton Centre as a site of recent budget cuts, resulting in the loss of essential community services and resources. Visit our sign and help Toronto celebrate and remember the value the LPCRC has brought to the daily lives of Toronto residents.

Shawn Conway and politicians Paula Fletcher, Peter Tabuns and Craig Scott at the DOPM unveiling.

An Act of Remembering: Flowers laid under the LPCRC sign.
