During a tour of the TRL we learned that what you see on the shelves is about one third of the collection.  The elevator goes from the ground floor to the fifth floor, but there are actually ten stories – each story is a double story: 2, 2M, 3, 3M. There are stairs between these floors and kilometres of movable shelving. “We keep most things forever.”
