The DEPARTMENT installed the Cleaner’s Action sign right outside the MacDonald Block at 80 Grosvenor Street where many of the Portuguese women who were part of the Cleaner’s Action movement still work at night. Participants unpacked objects and images related to the Cleaner’s Action story and two of the original founding members spoke about their memories from that time.
