On June 28th, 2012 the DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC MEMORY installed its first commemorative sign to mark the closure of the Lewis Pearsall Computer Resource Centre (LPCRC).  Thank you to everyone who came out to the unveiling ceremony. The DEPARTMENT was honoured to participate in celebrating the life of the Lewis Pearsall Computer Resource Centre and all of the tireless staff, volunteers and community members who made the LPCRC a valuable community resource for over 15 years.

At the unveiling there were speeches and memories shared. We also read the text from our commemorative sign for the LPCRC aloud. This sign will permanently mark the Ralph Thornton Centre as a site of recent budget cuts, resulting in the loss of essential community services and resources.
