The DEPARTMENT spoke with countless staff, peers, clients and harm reduction advocates in order to create the sign honouring harm reduction in Parkdale.  At the unveiling ceremony flags were given out with memories gathered during these interviews.  During the event people were invited to the stage to read the memories on these flags or to share their own memories about Parkdale’s harm reduction program.
