“Voices was an organization that was run by strong women, that created a space that didn’t exist anywhere else. It provided empowerment for women, room to grow and blossom as a positive individual. And then also it was like an oasis where women could go who were terrified of the stigma. And for some women it was the only place where women could go where their confidentiality would be respected.”
